Our two-physician model offers a more personal experience than a large rotating practice. You will get to know both doctors during your pregnancy, and your care will remain connected from early testing through delivery and postpartum follow-up.

Your first prenatal visit
Your first prenatal visits may include confirmation of your pregnancy, a review of your medical and pregnancy history, ultrasound, blood work, discussion of medications, and planning for prenatal screening.

Prenatal testing and in-office services
Prenatal care may involve blood work, ultrasounds, screening tests, and referrals for specialized imaging when appropriate.

Our office offers in-office ultrasounds and blood draws, allowing many parts of your care to be completed in a familiar setting with the team that knows your history.

We also discuss available screening options, including non-invasive prenatal testing and carrier screening, so you can make informed decisions based on your preferences and medical history.
High-risk pregnancy care
Some pregnancies require additional monitoring or coordination with maternal-fetal medicine specialists.

Dr. Butt and Dr. Sabbah care for patients with pregnancy-related conditions and circumstances, including advanced maternal age, twin pregnancy, IVF pregnancy, gestational diabetes, chronic or pregnancy-related hypertension, placenta previa, risk of preterm labor, and other medical conditions affecting pregnancy.

When specialist care is recommended, we help you understand the reason for the referral, what the specialist is evaluating, and how those recommendations fit into your overall pregnancy plan.
Delivery planning
As your pregnancy progresses, we will discuss your delivery preferences, medical considerations, and what you can expect at the hospital.

Our obstetric care includes both vaginal and cesarean delivery. Recommendations are based on your health, your baby’s health, your pregnancy history, and what is safest for your specific circumstances.

The practice is affiliated with Lenox Hill Hospital for delivery and hospital-based care.
Postpartum care
Your care continues after delivery.

Postpartum visits provide time to evaluate your physical recovery, discuss bleeding and pain, review emotional well-being, address feeding concerns, and talk about contraception or future pregnancy plans.

We encourage patients to bring up symptoms or questions even when they are unsure whether something is normal. Recovery looks different for every patient, and we want you to feel supported throughout the process.

In a large obstetric group, patients may rotate among many physicians and may not know who will be present for delivery.
